broken fan

this poor fan reminds me of a cow. the rust patches reminds me of the spots on a cow. it makes me want to drink some milk. maybe even chocolate milk. but i'd have to be sneaky about it, since my sister is very posessive of her chocolate milk...

mickey's mark

i found this mickey head shortly after i saw one on a fan. the time before this, i found a plastic half of a mickey-head-shaped box. someone else found it, too, and decided to leave their mark. i came back later, and the mickey heads were smudged and scourged, presumably by maintenance men. boy, when they say sharpies are indelible, they really mean it!! :c)

a close up shot of the mickey mark.

fan twins

two identical fans. of course, they're not exactly identical. i'm no fan whisperer, but i'd say the one on the left is the jealous twin.

more strange plants

well, the cactuses look healthy. which is more than i can say for the poor, brown, dried, dead fern fronds. what a depressing greenhouse.

secret greenhouse

the secret greenhouse, with warm afternoon shadows. despite its totally abandoned look, the plants seem to be doing quite well. i think they're cactuses, though. it's not nearly as professional looking as the other greenhouse, but i like the light blue & lime green furnishings.

bluehouse

here's the outside of the greenhouse. extra contrasty, of course. looks like something from Mindhunters.

stair no. 5

of all the stairs i've been up and down recently, this is by far the nastiest. it was pitch dark, and i had to use my keychain light to navigate the steps. i don't know what that hole above the stairs is. probably a home for nasty little animals. yuk.

green house

you know, my car reminds me of a greenhouse. except, it's more like a solar oven. the dark paint (that which is still there) and the dark interior collect the heat; then the heat is trapped by the glass. so in the summertime, it feels like my skin is going to melt off, and in the winter it feels...toasty. :c)

wind-meter?

i don't remember what these things are called...i have a feeling i should. i'm just going to call it a "windmeter" for now. or maybe i'll call it phyllis...

40...again

reminded me of the parking lot light from a several posts ago. maybe i'll find more 40's later. well, not the 40oz adult beverage. i wouldn't know where to find those...

stepladder

a stepladder. a rusty stepladder. for servicing the fans, i guess. a sign of life in an otherwise mechanical world. well, at least a sign a of tetanus.
